Vermeulen Patent & Intelligence (VP&I) conducts and supplies information (Intelligence) which is in the public domain (Patent), such as the patents that protect inventions. To do this, we draw upon our wide-ranging expertise.

We offer tailor-made services, with reliability and a personal approach as important factors to support research and product development, business development as well as intellectual property activities and innovation policy. As a result, you receive a more complete and precise picture of what is known worldwide, without unnecessary costs and wasting of time.

VP&I was founded on 1 October 2004 by drs I.A.N. (Ivo) Vermeulen.

He studied chemistry atLeidenUniversity. He has been in patents since 1989, and has worked at both the Netherlands Patent Office, European Patent Office and a renowned patents agency. He has experience in a range of fields: chemistry, physics, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. Since 2003 he has also been active in innovation and product development.

Vermeulen Patent & Intelligence (VP&I) staat voor het leveren van informatie (Intelligence) die openbaar is (Patent), zoals octrooien. Hierbij maken wij gebruik van onze veelzijdige deskundigheid.

Wij ondersteunen u bij research en productontwikkeling, competitive intelligence, intellectuele eigendomskwesties, bedrijfsontwikkeling en innovatiebeleid door het leveren van informatie en persoonlijk advies. Daarbij besteden wij veel aandacht aan communicatie tussen alle betrokkenen. VP&I betrekt technologische, juridische en bedrijfsaspecten gezamenlijk in haar onderzoek en advies. U krijgt hiermee een vollediger en nauwkeuriger beeld van wat er wereldwijd bekend is, zonder overbodige kosten te maken of tijd te verliezen.

Wij beogen kennis inzichtelijk en bruikbaar te maken, en ook het innovatieve vermogen te bevorderen.
Onze missie luidt dan ook: “Wij staan voor kennis van waarde”.

Wij zijn actief op verschillende technische gebieden en in het bijzonder op chemische en farmaceutische onderwerpen.

VP&I is op 1 oktober 2004 opgericht door drs. I.A.N. (Ivo) Vermeulen. Hij heeft scheikunde gestudeerd aan de Rijksuniversiteit Leiden en heeft sinds 1989 octrooi-ervaring opgedaan bij de Octrooiraad, European Patent Office en het octrooigemachtigdenkantoor EP&C. Vanaf 2003 is hij ook actief op het terrein van innovatie en productontwikkeling en octrooimanagement. Daarbij is hij werkzaam geweest op verschillende gebieden: scheikunde, natuurkunde, werktuigbouw en elektrotechniek.
